Jacob de Gheyn II (1565 - 1629) Dutch School
Painter engraver born in Antwerp and died in The Hague (NL) He was a pupil of Goltzius in Haarlem. He is one of the circle of engravers of the Mannerist school like Matham and Goltzius, who's work makes top prices on auctions. There work is very much sought after and makes high prices. It is noted that he made engravings after the invention of Van Mandern.
