Sepulcrum, Septizonium Severi', view on the ruins of the so called Septizonium, a building constructed by will of emperor Septimius Severus, completely dismanteled by 1600. For this representation the source might have been a plate from Lafreri's 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae' (1574). Inscribed on the bottom in Latin and Dutch:'SEPTIZONIUM SEVERI...  / P.
