Allaert van Everdingen (1621-1675)
Allaert van Everdingen: (1621-1675)
This artist from the Netherlands was born in Alkmaar in 1621 and died in Amsterdam around 1675.
It is almost certain he learned first about his art by Roelandt Savery (1576-1639) in Utrecht, and later he became a pupil of Pieter Molijn (1595-1661) at Haarlem.
The industrial family Trip send him to Sweden and Norway to their iron-mines. He is known in art-history for the introducing of rock-formations and cabins in Netherlands Landscape Art. His example has probably inspired Jacob van Ruisdael(1628-1682).
