Lot en Abraham bezaten zoveel vee dat er te weinig land was en de herders van Lot en de herders van Abram ruzie met elkaar kregen. Linksachter doet Abraham aan Lot daarom het voorstel om uit elkaar te gaan. Op de voorgrond nemen zij afscheid van elkaar. Lot vertrekt met zijn vrouw, dochters en bezittingen naar de Jordaanvallei. Onderaan een verwijzing in het Latijn naar de Bijbeltekst in Gen. 13.
